Genesis 3:1-7
3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?"
2. The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat;
3. but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said,
This text contains the story of human fallen in the Garden of Eden.
God made the heavens and the earth, and made the garden of Eden to make people be inhabited.
In the Garden of Eden, there was a tree of life and a tree of good and evil.
God commanded the man to rule over the garden.
Where we are today is the Garden of Eden.
In the Garden of Eden we have everything we need.
God gave the Garden of Eden to man.
There are people and events in our my reality.
This is my Garden of Eden.
I am the master of Eden.
God made all things of this world, and He made a dwelling place for man to live in.
My home, school and workplace are my world and my Eden.
Some live in spacious apartments, others live in cold rooms.
His cold room is his Eden, too.
Some people live in the royal palace and complain.
Some live in one room and appreciate it.
This is a difference of values.
The people where I live, the people I meet and the things I touch are my Eden.
Are the complex and troublesome reality my Eden?
Because I can make myself resemble the Lord in my reality, my Eden is in my reality.
It is a good reality to fix my mistakes.
(3:1) "Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made."
What causes Eve to be tempted by the serpent?
Because she forgot God and the word of God.
This is the cause of human depravity.
Eve forgot her position.
She should have ignored the snake.
Man is the master of all things.
But a man has come down to a low position of a crime.
Don't forget that we are the masters of Eden.
We are the sons of God. Don't forget our position.
If we forget our position, we become slaves instead of masters.
We are swept into the environment.
If we forget the word of God, we get closer to sin.
For example, when a wife blames her husband, when the husband is angry at his wife's words, he forgets his position.
We should not add or subtract the Word of God.
Then he rationalizes his sin. Eventually he gets away form God the Father.
Then everything looks upside down.
He will be despised in the world.
We must fear God.
