15. Do not love the world nor the things in the world If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
17. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

Christians do not hate the world. And we don't deny the world. This world is the place to prepare for heaven. This world means countries, families, work places and other people besides me. We will live in heaven forever. We can prepare eternal heaven in this world. Therefore, this world is very important to us.
Scientists have studied the origins of the universe. They claim evolutionism by insisting that the history of this earth is 4.5 billion years old. And they deny the existence of God. The theory they claim is constantly changing. The scientific theories they claim are often overturned. They did not realize that God created this world in just seven days, which appeared to have been created 4.5 billion years ago. They do not know that God had created the world in the beginning in the state of 4.5 billon years old.
We should not become the servants of the world. Students should not live for their study. Parents in Korea are too interested and enthusiastic about their children's education and performance. Young people try to get a good job.
But God tells us not to be slaves of this world, and do not love this world.
(2:15) "... If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. "
God has told us not to love the world. This does not mean that we should hate the world. Christians should not hate the world. This means that we should not affected by the world. And we should not be attracted to this world in our hearts.
Love is salvation. God's purpose is to make me a true person who resembles God. This is different from what the world pursues.
Adultery is prevalent in a dirty world these days. Even people do not feel that adultery is a sin. God is the God of jealousy. It is like adultery that we love the world more than God. God is our husband, and the world is like a prostitute who tempts us. God is jealous if we love something(money, family, Fun of the world...) other than God.
(2:17) "The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever."
Nowadays people teach not to hide back their instincts. And people follow evil teachings. This world is getting more and more depraved. School teachers, professors, psychologists teach people badly. They teach people that they can be healthy by instinct. And people are willing to follow their bad teachings.
People have made a better world. Humans developed civilization. Hi-tech science advances the world day by day. Their pride is high. And they consider their knowledge and technology great so they deny God.
We have to use this world well. God has given us this world as a gift. We should not become servants of the world.
Think of the love of Heavenly Father. The world and its desires pass away. But the man who does the will of God lives forever! We must try to find God's will.
Do not love the world. Let's think deeply about what this means. We must see this world with the eyes of faith.
