Word of God is Revelation 3:1-6
1 To the angel of the church in Sardis write : He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.......

The church in Sardis is the fifth church in Revelation.
The seven churches in Revelation represent all the churches of the new testament age.
The commerce was developed in Sardis at that time.
"3:1 the seven Spirits" mean Holy Spirit and "seven stars" mean 'all the pastors in New Testament Age'.
The members of the church in Sardis had a lot of knowledge about the Words of God, but they did not practice them, so their inspiration disappeared.
Our church is in a similar situation to the church of Sardis.
They didn’t fear God, and nor do we.
They loved money and honor but were not interested in the riches of heaven.
We believe in God, but we love this world so much.
The church in Sardis needed inspiration (the Holy Spirit) but they lost it.
We know God, heaven, God's Commandments but we don't practice the Word of God.
3:1 "I know your deeds"
God knows everything about us.
God knows our deeds because He created me.
God knows me in details better than I do.
So we cannot deceive God.
"Be not deceived, God is no mocked." /(Do not be deceived, God is not mocked)
God knows our deeds and our mind.(thought and greed...)
God knew everything about the church in Sardis. Like this, God knows our past and present.
God knows all about how we live.
So we have to fear God, and we must live by faith.
The church in Sardis is like our church.
We have a lot of knowledge but don't execute the Word of God.
We will stand before the judgment seat of God.
We have to abandon self-centeredness.
We know the doctrine of high standards.
For example, we know that man is consisted of Spirit and flesh. And the flesh is consisted of body and mind.
We know that man is made up in 3 things : body, mind and spirit. We know evolution is a false theory.
And we believe that Jesus is a name which means God will save His people from their sins by putting on the human body.
"I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead."
God created heavens and earth.
And God created man with the dust of the ground.
"the Lord formed man of the dust of the ground. and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.“
(Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. )
Men died because of their sins.
"You are alive, but you are dead." means....
"alive" People can live by eating food.
But there is no meaning and purpose in that life.
The result of that life is vain.
That means "you are dead."
They didn't know about God, heaven, salvation, the Word of God and Faith.
And they didn't care about God.
They had a name that they were alive, but they were dead.
Let's reflect ourselves through the church in Sardis.
We should check ourselves whether we live by the will of God
Let's repent of our sins.
We have to wake up and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die.
If we don't wake up, our Lord will come like a thief, and we will not know at what hour the He will come to us.
