Revelation 2:18-29
<To the angel of the church in Thyatira>
These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze.
I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first..........-to verse 29

The church in Thyatira is the fourth church in Revelation.
The writer of this text is John who is the disciple of Jesus.
The church in Thyatira doesn't have faith.
Let's think about the church in Pergamum.
"You did not renounce your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city-where Satan lives."
And let's think about the church in Thyatira.
"the Son of God whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze."
Eyes make us to see things.
And light makes us to see all things. T
The eyes of the Lord can see everything.
This means our Lord knows everything whether it is big or not because He created all things.
For example, if a doctor operates on a patient, he knows about the patient’s body more than others.
Correct knowledge is so important.
We have to know about God our Lord.
And we have to trust the words of God.
The Holy Bible says the history of the earth is 6000 years.
Can you believe this?
We have to believe that God created heavens and earth in six days.
He is the creator.
So God knows about you everything.
"the very hairs of your head are all numbered."
Therefore We can relax and trust God.
2:18
"whose feet are like burnished bronze."
Bronze is strong and solid.
Jesus is God, our Lord.
He is the great God but He became humble and low for us.
The rich can't understand the mind of the poor.
But the Lord our God knows our mind very well.
He was humble, hungry for us(he felt pity on us).
He experienced all these sufferings for me.
"whose eyes are like blazing fire"
God got angry to the church in Thyatira.
"Blazing fire" means "a flame of anger".
God built churches on earth not by human.
The church in Thyatira didin't know this fact.
The church in Thyatira didn't believe in God but ignored Him
The church in Thyatira means our church, and me since I am a church too. .
Do I believe this?
If we really believe God, we don’t live like this.
2:19
"I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance and that you are now doing more than you did at first"
This text is not the words of compliment.
Many people misunderstand this text.
It's a strong rebuke and blame.
The church in Thyatira forgot God.
They didn’t know God, so they thought about human beings.
They thought the church is for business.
It was wrong!
They loved money more than God our Lord.
If we are true believers, everyone will respect us.
The church in Thyatira didn’t repent their sins.
God gave them chances to repent, but they didn't.
The church in Thyatira means our church.
We have to find and repent our sins.
