==============Word of God
Revelation 3:14-22
14 To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness the Beginning of the creation of God, says this:
15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot: I wish that you were cold or hot.
16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you our of My mouth.
17 Because you say :I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing." and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked ...14-22
==========
The church in Laodicea is the seventh(the last) church in Revelation.
The name of the church is generally named after their region.
The ideal church in Revelation is the church in Philadelphia.
But the church in Laodicea was the most corrupt church among the seven churches in Revelation.
And the church in Laodicea was a dead church.
The church must pursue holiness and peace.
However, the church in Laodicea pursued only peace between humans.
They were united into this world.
"These are the words of the Amen"
"Amen" means "I agree".
Jesus always obeyed the Word of God.
He always said 'Amen'.
However, the church in Laodicea did not say 'Amen'.
They did not obey God.
God is perfect.
So we must agree with His Word and say 'Amen!'.
"The faithful" (3:14)
The servant should be loyal to the king.
(A friend is not loyal to his friend.
And the couple does not say that they are loyal to one's husband or wife.)
The church in Laodicea was not loyal to God.
"true witness"
We are witnesses of the Lord.
(John 14:9) Jesus said to him 'Have I been so long time with you,
and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip?
he who had seen me had seen the Father,
and how say you then, 'Show us the Father'?
But there isn't a witness in the church of Laodicea.
"the ruler of God's creation"(3:14)
They did not have '1.Amen, 2.the faithful and 3.true witness'.
They were broken and there was not hope.
But God did not abandon them.
God did not give up them, but He visited them.
God wanted to save them with hope.
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot.
I wish you were either cold or hot!"
They were neither cold nor hot. They were lukewarm.
"cold" means 'they did not live a life of faith'.
We have to reflect ourselves.
Do we offer the right worship to the Lord?
In worship times, we often think of something else.
The appearance of Laodicea is like ours.
They prayed and praised to the Lord and they thought they worshiped the Lord, but did not offer true worship.
The church in Laodicea was a dead church.
We should try not to be like the church in Laodicea.
