Isaiah 55:1-5
This is a kind of figure of speech. If a person feel that it should have and essential but there is not, he is thirsty about that.
For example, a person who couldn't go to school before, that person is thirsty about knowledge and an academic clique.
If a person is thirsty about something, he eager, find and follow to get it but at the same time,
it can be his weakness and abused by others.
According to one's values, the degree and scope of thirst is different person by person.
Thirst comes out from a greed and that greed comes out from a knowledge.
Although people solve his thirst, new thirst arise, so they feel thirsty forever.
Because they didn't solve the fundamental thirst.
Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Here 'Bread' is like a gold.
It is the most precious thing.
People are made by someone.
Our thirst and unbeliever's thirst is different.
Our thirst should be about God, heaven, truth, Jesus's redemption, and salvation.
First, we have to find that whether we have thrist about (1) God (2) heaven (3) truth (4) redemption (5) salvation.
If we don't have these thirst, it means we don't have the knowledge, faith, and greed about that.
