1 John 3:1-3   p.390
1.How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
2. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
3. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.



On the first day of the new year, many people go to the East Sea to watch the sunrise.
They pray for the wishes of the year while seeing the rising sun.
But we are different from them because we believe in Jesus.

(3:3) "Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure."
  Today we want to think about hope and cleanliness.
A man loses motivation to live if his hope is lost.
We must read, hear, think, compare, and evaluate the Word of God.
We cannot think of something we don't know.
We can think when we have knowledge of something.
A person with a lot of knowledge does not make a rash.
An ignorant person is inconsiderate of words and actions.

  The Lord and we are like a couple's relationship.
And the Lord is our Father. (3:2)
"Now we are children of God"
  Nowadays news comes out about a father who killed his five-year-old daughter.
He is not a father! He is no better than a beast.
  The son should not ignore the father because his father is ignorant and poor.

  God's love is infinite and perfect. God is love.
Mark of love is sacrifice.
Sacrifice without worth is grace.
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us"(3:1)
The love of Heavenly Father sent Jesus to us.
"that we should be called children of God"
We are children of God.
God loves us and made us His sons.
This is the basis of our hope.
We must believe and acknowledge this.

Unbelievers are subordinates of evil spirits.
They do their best to break us from believing in God.
They tease and mock us.
They say like this
"Where is God? Do not be ridiculous." They don't understand us.

(3:2) We are the sons of God.
Do you believe this?
The good things are not visible to you because you are the Son of God.
So we often get frustrated.
We are disappointed because we have no evidence or effect that we are children of God.
  
  So we must experience the love of God.
If you don't experience the love of God, someday you will fall.

  We must be like a perfect God.
We must grow toward God.
We are incomplete.
But we have hope.
The value of a person is higher than money, honor, or power.
If a person with power falls, many people die.

  We don't have the desire to resemble
God because we don't know God.
God is omnipotent and good.
When we think of the love of God, we become like God.
We will rule all things on behalf of God in the future.
This is our position.

  We must think of our hope.
Don't forget that we are the sons of God.
Today's sermon is a word we should not forget for this year.
